Neutral Grounding Resistors (NGRs) are used in AC distribution networks to limit earth fault current flowing through the neutral point of transformers and generators.
NERs protect switchgear, generators and transformers by restricting fault current and reducing touch & step potentials, ensuring reliable relay operation with CTs.
The standard enclosure material is sheet steel with a minimum 2 mm thickness, finished with an epoxy powder coat. Alternative material options include SS-304 and SS-316 stainless steel, ensuring durability and corrosion resistance for demanding environments.
As standard, we offer IP55 enclosures which are suitable for outdoor use while allowing effective ventilation. We also supply IP33 and IP54 enclosures. When side-mounted cable termination chambers are specified, they are provided with IP54 or IP55 protection as standard.
While our standard range of enclosures meets most application requirements, we are also happy to provide custom-designed equipment. This ensures that specific project needs and unique operating conditions are fully addressed with reliable and compliant solutions.
Full compliance with ANSI-IEEE 32, Terminology and Test Procedure for Neutral Grounding Devices
